So I am about 99% sure my trans is blown. Its an automatic. I ordered a level 4 speed inc high performance transmission. They are building it now. Anyway just for peace of mind that I didnt spend 3k on a new tranny when its not the problem tell me if you think this could be anything other than the tranny.

When I was accelerating, somewhat heavy on the gas at the time but far from flooring it, on the gear shift I heard a clank and the car just started revving up really fast as if it were in neutral. I let off the gas pulled over, turned the car off and turned it back on. I tried to drive in forwards and then i tried reverse. The result is the same in both. The engine just revs really high really fast as if it were in neutral and the car barely barely accelerates while attempting to drive. It accelerates slightly but the entire time you are attempting to do so it revs up like its in neutral and have to rev to like 3500 rpm to just get the car to move the slightest bit.

I dont see how this could not be the transmission, but just for my piece of mind could you let me know what you think happened.
