I see alot of people saying they put a "Vette" servo in...Didn't any of them wonder why the one they took out looked identical to the one they put in?..LOLActually, the "Vette" servo isn't the real hot ticket anyway. The Fairbanks billet 2nd servo, and Sonnax "Super Hold" 4th servo combination is. You need an aftermarket 2-4 band with a reinforced anchor to use the Fairbanks unit, though. It'll rip the stock one out in a short period of time. I use Alto "Wide" red lined bands in all my racing 700/4L60E's...They have a reinforced anchor.
As to how this combo works, I pulled my buddys 4L60E apart a few months ago after it snapped the output shaft. After 2 years of low 11 second abuse (11.0 @ 124 MPH), the band still looked like brand new. I pulled my 700 apart a few months ago to put a few 4L65E parts in it...After 3 years in the 12's (12.0 last year), the 2-4 band in mine also still looked like brand new.
