Converter Problems, PLEASE help me

I have the 4l60e that is very stout. It was built and has held up good. My problem is the converter, it will not lock up at all. Before anyone asks, yes it is a locking converter. My question, how long before it goes BOOM if it will not lock up?

I am worried because I do not want to lose the whole tranny because of a converter failure. can someone gimme some advice here?

First you have to make sure it's getting a signal to lock up. The computer may have some reason that it's not commanding lock up. Have your computer scanned and make sure that it's not got anything funky going on.
