converter for cc306

is this a good an ok converter for a cc 306?

http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/produ...85&CtgID=24244

i dont want to break the bank yet to get a vig. actually, i could buy a 4000 stall vig for about the same price as the converter i am considering buying. but i am afraid that drivablity would suck! let me know what yall think.

if it is going to be something you drive on the street a lot get a good quality converter. I have a TCI, and while it works at the track i would not want it if this was a car I drove on the street a lot.

Vigilante and Yank are nice, but if I wanted to save a few bucks I'd go buy an Edge converter from Andre. They are very good converters for the money. I'd say anywhere from 3200-3600 for a daily, 4000 is kinda high but if that's what you really want get it.

Long as you are buying decent name brand parts you should be OK.

The CNC brand is BAD though, I made the mistake of buying rockers from them and they did not even care when I told them the ratio was wrong. Not miss boxed or anything, measured ratio did not match that marked on the rockers .

On the converter I like Edge but would not hesitate to use Yank or Vigilante.

Yea, i understand what you guys are saying, but damn, those are expensive!! lol i dont really want a 4000 stall but its a vig and its 350 bucks. thats a good deal for one i think. but the stall, i think, is too much for me. will it affect daily drivng too much to were i may not want to drive the car? remember that i have never had a converter on.

If the Vigilante still has the two year free restall, you could send it right to them and get it set to a lower RPM. I have driven my CC306 car with a 3000 and 3200 Vig and had no issues. I'm definately going higher, but it's FMVB 4L80, spooled 9 inch, etc

Seriously wouldnt get one from them. I'd take a 4K Vigilante over a cheapo from them, personally. You've always got lockup for the highway mileage, and Vigilantes are notorious for being pretty tight in general. But I know Darkhorse used a 3200 Midwest for a while and ran mid 12's with it. I think they run in the 300's new.
