Clutch question on 3.8L 1996

I am looking at purchasing a 1996 Camaro with the 3.8L v6 and manual tranny. The clutch feels quite firm, but only has a very short throw. It seem to operate fine I just want to be sure the slave cylinder ( I assume it is a hydrolic clutch) is not show. Based on another experience with a 4 cyl. the slave cylinder is in the bell housing making a tough replacement job.

I also have the misfire "bucking" problem but it sounds like this forum has already answered my questions on that!! Thanks!!
