Clutch problem really need some help

Patient: '95 Z28 M6

Illness: Clutch won't fully release.

Steps already taken: new stock Valeo PP and clutch from KY Clutch, resurfaced flywheel by Haas, GM hydraulic master/slave system, rebuilt transmission by RPM, stock shifter, temporarily removed clutch linkage spacer to watch slave shaft operate and to get slave a bit closer in, have done and redone installing the clutch fork. It has the cast iron clutch fork, clutch pivot bolt is completely screwed in and the clutch pivot spring is good.

Symptoms: I cannot shift into any gear with the car running. With car off I can get into reverse, 2nd and 4th. I can turn car off, put in gear, start car and release clutch and car will go.

I've called KY Clutch and verified I received correct clutch/pressure plate
I've called RPM to get their input, they say the clutch isn't fully disengaging.

I'm at a complete loss. I have a Z28 convertible with new headers, plugs, wires, ... well a long list of mods and changes, and Spring is here. Car is on a lift if anyone cares to run by and look at it.

Hope someone has the answer. All I know to do at this point is to pull the transmission again and try a different clutch/pp combination and maybe replace the flywheel.

I replaced the clutch once before and had no problems...other than the usual stuff trying to get to the top mounting bolts.

I know this is long but I've tried to be detailed. I'm also posting on other Camaro boards.

I had a similar situation and had to machine the T bar on the clutch fork. When you machine the t bar it brings the bar closer to the slave cylinder which does 2 things, gives more clearance between fork and pressure plate and also gives abit more throw on the fork. I machined off .125 to make mine work right

Jonesy, what do you think made it necessary to trim the T-bar? Was the clutch thicker or the flywheel thnner, slave cylinder shaft shorter?

I just did the Mcloed bellhousing and did a clutch and had flywheel machined at the same time so I really can't tell you what caused the problem for me. You don't have to totaly remove the trans to get at it. I pulled driveshaft and crossmember and placed trans jack and removed the transmission bolts and slid it back a couple of inches. does you clutch pedal feel spongey or solid? if it feels solid I would machine the T bar, if spongey , keep trying to work the air out

The clutch feels soft. I put in the GM clutch cylinder set which is pre bled. Previously I had replaced the slave and bled the stew out of the system. It really seems the problem is the pressure plate not releasing fully. I don't have any problem with the fork hittng the pressure plate.
