Clutch problem, need some help!

I didn't notice this new forum..believe it or not last week sometime I thought to myself "it would be a good idea if there were a drivetrain specific forum" Anyways, I posted in LT1 tech before I noticed this:

so after the big blackout and being stuck in city traffic for almost an hour, dragging my clutch and moving 2 feet at a time, I noticed a strange noise coming from the clutch when I let it out of first gear...it almost sounded like a loud hissing noise, like air coming out of a thin hose, but I know this isn't what it was, it probably just sounded like that because I was inside the car. :P

It may have been the sound of something rubbing and rotating at a high speed, but it's hard to be sure, the sound is gone.

Anyways, it is shifting fine still with one exception...the pedal seems to lag a bit at the top of the travel, almost like it isn't fuilly disengaging (but like I said it's pretty minor, I doubt anyone else could even tell, I think I can merely because it's my car).

So, what did I break? I want to say it's a spring of some sort, but not knowing the inner workings of these clutches I will just await the experts' opinions THanks!!!

yeah, it doesn't even make the sound anymore, but when it did, it was only with the clutch engaging...once engaged it went away.

Also, I have to be careful now and feather it because otherwise I spin teh rear tires pretty easily, and the engagement point seems lower now Im confused, but then again, that's the kind of month it's been (long story, work related issues from hell)
