Clutch not fully disengaging after install.

I recently installed a mcleod clutch disk and LT4 pressure plate in my 97 Z28. I also had the flywheel machined. Ever since the install the car has been tough to get into gear when sitting still, if i am slowly rolling there isnt much of a problem. Ive had 2 tranny shops drive the car and they both say the clutch is hanging up.

How do i fix this. The flywheel was not shimmed, Im not sure how much was machined off but it wasnt a lot and as far as i know its the first time the flywheel was machined. A local parts supplier doesnt even show shims for this particular application. Also there is a little plastic cap that is on the end of the rod for the slave cylinder, the little cap cracked apart so it is no longer usable.

How do i fix this? I cant find any way to make any adjustments. Any ideas?

Will an adjustable master cylinder take care of this.

No leaks in the hydrolics.

One other thing that i noticed today. If i am sitting at a long red light and im not playing witht he clutch pedal at all i noticed it will usually go into gear a bit easier, but if im pumping the clutch pedal a lot or in stop and go trafffic it gets really tough to get into gear.

Any ideas? Im at a loss here.

I wondered about that plastic cap thing myself. The instructions said that it was an integral part of the assembly, but my own impression based on reading things here, was that it was there only to hold the slave in place for shipping.

It would be real nice if someone cleared this up for us.
