Clutch not disengaging, slave stroke problem -- lengthen pushrod?
Hi guys,
I posted before regarding what movement I needed at the clutch slave for an LT1 T56 -- I read here:
http://www.jaguarspecialties.com/project2.asp
that the movement needed to disengage the clutch is about .85", which translates to 2.15cm. With my 3.17cm slave, I'm getting less than 1cm of movement at the slave.
I don't know if any of you have done this before, but i figured this is as good a place as any to ask -- if i cut my current stock pushrod in half, threaded each end and put a coupling nut in between to lengthen the rod, will this solve the problem?
I'm not sure if the longer pushrod will constantly press on the TB -- has anyone out there tried this, or can advise?
