Clutch line discontect good or bad?

Disconnected the clutch line from the slave. This connector has a plastic slip ring around it. There is a curved separation on one side. Like a break? Is it suppose to be this way or should it be a solid whole one piece all the way around?

I see that you're new here so I'll pass you a couple of tips.

Go to the UserCP drop down (upper right of the page) choose edit signature and build a sig with the basics about your car. Then when you ask a question we'll have a better idea of what the right answer might be.

Secondly, look at the forum main page, at all of the categories, and carefully pick where to post a question. Take thiis one for instance. It fits better in the drivetrain forum than the LSx engine tech forum so I'll move it there.
