Clutch fried or just needs adjustment ???

Ok, so I left work tonight and spinned tires, very lightly, in the parking lot and then proceded to cruise home on the freeway.

When I got off the freeway and closer to home I came to a stop sign. I didnt stop complete but very close, and left the stop hard - revved to 2500-3000 and let the clutch out and no tire spin at all when normally it'd burn out, I went "huh...?". Turned off onto an empty street to test out. Tried launching a few times (I'm kinda slow....duh) from almost a complete stop and it revved up and made a lot of noise but didnt really take off too hard and no tire spinning what-so-ever

Then it hit me "oh !" I pulled over and smelt under the car....yup, burning clutch

So, how do I know if it is toast or if it needs an adjustment?

BTW - I am not very mechanically inclined so you gotta talk slow...
And the traction control was not on either..

Thanks, Tim

Sounds like your clutch gave up the ghost. You cant adjust it either.

Hello? Just wanting to confirm whether or not I might be able to adjust the clutch or save this in some way????

If I really cant, whats the least amount of money I can spend and get out of this?

nope, won't adjust.
Clutch/Pressure Plate/TO Bearing and possibly shaving your flywheel depending on how bad it is.

Depends on who you goto, anywhere between 300-500.
