clutch fork rubs on pressureplate. need help

so i just put in my new clutchnet 6 puck kit and everyting seemed to be fine. so, i started it up and pushed in the clutch all the way, and the release fork rubbed on the outside edge of the pressure plate, making a nasty noise. so i thought it was no big deal, maybe the aftermarket units don't need all that travel? so, i drove the car trying not to push the clutch in all the way and it drove great and seemed smooth. BUT, i only drove it 2 miles and every time i pushed in the clutch, the distance i had to push the clutch to make it rub got shorter and shorter, until i couldn't push in the clutch at all without the rubbing noise. i took off the slave cylinder and you can see where the very outside edge of the pressure pate has been rubbed by the fork. so, i've realized that the fork was obviously pulling the pressure plate out too far, rubbing on the fork. but, what doesn't make sense is why the pedal got short and shorter until it rubbed instantly. ?? i immediately stopped driving the car, so i'm pretty sure i didn't cause any real damage, but i'm wondering what to do to fix it?? bent fork? sticking slave cylinder? ihave no idea. there's only a few parts to the clutch anyway, so what could it be??? anyone experience anything similar??? thanks!

Sounds like something needs to be shimmed or trimmed down. I would imagine that he t-stud is wha you would have to address.

Unbolt the t-stud from the front of the tranny. Just machine it down a bit on the threaded flat surface. I would go in .050" increments.

im having the same issue.

EDIT: have the same exact issue, but clutch Fork is hitting the Pressure plate due to a fatigued hold down spring. did you end up shaving t stud or getting new fork?

i got a new clutch fork and shaved the T stud down less than 1/4" and it fixed the problem. still a pain to take the tranny in and out, but she purrs now.

I think this is the fix I've got to do.

In regards to it eventually needing less pedal to rub, I would suspect that the hydraulic system is getting stabilized or adjusting to the particular setup.
