Is there a way to bleed the lines? Or flush them or something? I also have a little play in the pedal. I think this is contributing to my sluggish starts...

It is a STAR pressure plate with an SLP disc... basically an LT4 clutch. I did not have the flywheel or pressure plate resurfaced after I had my Stage 3 ceramic in there, I just ordered a new disc from SLP and threw it in. It has a little vibration but that doesn't explain the play in the pedal or weird starts...

Yea sounds like a piece of $hit clutch to me! Time for a SPEC stage IV and then you never have to worry again

LOL, my thinking is... screw it, I'll ride this clutch till it dies all the while saving for a street twin. See I have this curse, where if some people have a problem with a part, and some don't, I'm ALWAYS one of the people that has a problem. So if I get a Star stage IV I will be the guy that posts and everybody will say "You should have done it right the first time."

Didn't you have a stage 4??? Isn't that thing a beast. I had to fight my stage 3 ceramic... I can't imagine a stage 4. Is the disc sprung or unsprung? What are my choices??? I need a clutch that will hold up to a blown 383 launching on slicks but that won't make my left leg stronger than my right leg if I gt caught in traffic. Time and time again the experts have reiterated that a Street twin is the only 100% choice.

I actually just read that page you made. It looks like the Stage 4 is decent. How does it drive though? Compared to a stock clutch, how rough is it? I think that may end up being my choice. Either that or a stage 3. I'd love a street twin but **** I ain't donald f'in trump.

if you really consider how much the Stage IV is going to cost versus the street twin'. the price difference probably ain't all that significant considering it comes w/ the flywheel and adj. master cyl. You get alot for your money.. Where as w/ the Spec you get a pile of ****.. Goodluck on your choice though.. .

I just got a job today at a local racing shop that is a SPEC vendor... I'm probably going to go with the stage 3 ceramic/kevlar. Should I really go to stage 4???? How big is the driveability difference?
