clutch dragging

After replacement of stock disc with McLeod performance one I immediately ran into the problem: it is quite hard to shift gears and sometimes even impossible to get into reverse. When I shift into 1st gear with fully depressed clutch pedal the car tries to move ahead. Garage people tell me that it is not possible neither to change oil nor to bleed the clutch lines as system is fully closed with no bleeding vents. Also it seems that when the car is cold its almost okay and problem arises after some driving time. Any ideas please? Its T56 and oil level is okay.

The measurement of the disk between compressed and NON compressed exceeds the OEM spec and thats why it drags. This measurement (air gap window) is small on our pull clutches and this is a common problem.

Get an adjustable master cylinder that can provide more throw, meaning more fork travel or get a different disk.

By different disk you mean thinner one? The McLeod one I have now is about 50% thicker indeed than previous one.

Thickness is not really what I am saying. Its the difference between compressed and NON compressed.

Measure the disk unclamped, then clamp the disk in a vice and measure again. Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number. This measurement exceeds OEM spec and there is not enough clutch release movement and bada bing, you got drag.

You need a disk where that measurement is lesser or an adjustable like I said above.

Okay clear. But all adjustable master cylinders either RAM or McLeod which are offered in the market are for LS1 (1998 onwards) - will it fit LT1?
