Chevrolet Bulletin 91-05-7B ??

ok so i know someone thats trying to sell his 93 camaro it has an M6 in it with a sticker on the side of the case that reads "before servicing refer to Bulletin 91-05-7B" or something very similar to that. Anyway all i can find on this TSB is that it was a "5 speed" transmission exchange program??
5 speed!?!? wtf?? Was wondering if anybody could shed some light on this TSB? Ive been told to completely avoid the 93 M6's because they're just considerably weaker than 94 and up trannys. I could pick this car up fairly cheap but i dont wanna bother if it is still the same type "weaker" trans that the 93's already have
Tag on trans in case anybody wants it
0236021 K1622
296-007A 10020 and #'rs on the case read 13-86-212-901-H

oh and the 296 on the tag could have possibly been 396 or 896 it was very messed up right there on the corner heh

VERY easy to tell a T5 from a T56.

T5:

T56:

Also, the V6 came with a T5. V8 came with a T56. The ONLY differences between the 93 and 94-97 T56 is the 93 came with different gears, notably a 2.97 first and .62 sixth. It also came with no CAGS. They are not weaker at all, it was made by the same company.

No idea what that sticker means. You could call GM themselves, they might know more about it.

actually they are weaker. the M28 and M29 will break occasionally with 400+ rwtq, t56's are more consistent around 450-500. but they can both be built to hold more
