I saw this browsing parts, looks cool but I think it defeats the purpose of a strong cover.

Well not that the cover is very strong to begin with. Its not exactly a structural part of the rear end.

the problem with that cover is when the rear end gets hot and after a period of time the clear will become hazed and you can't see in it very well. plus it looks import
