Center Force Dual Fricition Clutch??

Center Force Dual Fricition Clutch??
Well I just bought my 96' z28, and it came with a Centerforce clutch. I have been doing a couple burnouts, but not when I go to do a burnout, the clutch won't grab and spin the tires, then the car smells really hot. Any suggestions? Could the clutch be going out?
