Hello,
My car won't go into reverse. I drove it 3 days ago and everthing was fine when I parked it. This morning when I got up to run an erran, It was very hard to get the car into reverse. It took a lot of fiddling around and two hands to finally get it to go. What it going on here.

Reverse Lock out solenoid could be bad or the wire going to it burnt

Maybe the reverse synchro..?

Also something else i'll post again when i can remember what it was...

Sounds like that solenoid.. If u can get it into reverse with two hands always without fail then i'd say solenoid.. If not.. If its more fiddling and inconsistant than i would say its not the solenoid

Reverse has no synchro....I've heard if you go into a few gears before going into reverse it helps...Mine has been having this same problem lately and it also gets hard to go all the other gears...it comes and goes so Im thinking its a hydraulic issue with me...

I remember a couple yrs ago my tranny wouldnt go into reverse. I just shut off the car and restarted it... fixed that. My guess it the soleniod was acting up and its never happened again.

 

yea i have a question bout my reverse...i can put it in reverse but i have to hold it in there till i let off the clutch then u can feel it click into reverse and after that im fine..neone know whats up with that...its not too annoying cuz im use to it now but ne help or advice would be appreciated thanks!
