I noticed today on the way home I smelled something wierd and then I noticed my car really wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear. What could this be??? I couldnt' see anything cause it was dark out. I just bought the car yesterday and it drove fine for about 70 miles, parked it at work for about 6 1/2 hours...came out to come home and it was fine for the first 15-20 minutes and then it started acting up.

I did check the fluid and there is nothing on the stick but I really couldn't see a leak anywhere, Just a funky smell like something was burning.

It doesn't free rev either.

 

Someone...anyone???

You need to add more fluid, untill its up to where its soposed to be on the stick.
What your smelling is probably your tranny being cooked
