C-Clip Eliminators with factory disc brakes?

C-Clip Eliminators with factory disc brakes?

I did a search and came up with mostly this conclusion..
that if you have rear disc you don't need c-clip eliminators..
but is it NHRA legal??
can you even run c-clips with factory rear discs?
I have the cast steel(thick one) backing plate.
