Broke U-Joint Cap Connector on rear u-joint. Okay to run without?
On the rear U-Joint where the caps are strapped onto the rear, there is a connector that keeps the caps from falling off. The clips are still there, but the thin peice of metal is broke off allowing the caps to fall off when the staps are not on.
Is it okay to run like this, since it appears the clips on the caps couldnt get by the straps that hold them down, I would think so. I really dont want a cap to come off, so I need a definitive answer.

Yea, mine broke too the last time I took the driveshaft off. The rear-end yoke holds them in place tight. I wouldn't worry about it.
