Ok I'd like to drop a 3.42 in my A4 that currently has a 2.73. Are the gearsets that say "3.42 for 2 series carrier" ok or a joke? What's different about them? The carrier is smaller than a series 3 right?

Also, what is the best bang for the buck brand that'll be quiet? I don't race, just wanna enjoy a little more grunt. Engine is stock.

Vendor suggestions would be appreciated too and/or reputable shops in the north Atlanta area although I think I'm gonna try to tackle it myself.

Also, what about my posi? Will it work with these said gears?
