my brother recently swapped his 2.73's to 3.73's (richmonds)in his 94Z A4. Everything is stock in his engine and tranny. he is bouncing off the rev limiter at WOT but it does shift out. why would it do this? do i need some sort of tune? need help quick. PS i'm trying to stay within a budget.

Mine is kinda similar I do have a tune would chaning my shift point to say 5800 or so help instead of 6000.

 

Have you considered one of the mail-order tuners on here. I'm sure they could tune that one parameter for a reduced cost of what they normally charge for a full PCM tuneup.
