Bouncing burnout!!
Hey everyone a drive a 2000 Z28 A4 its all stock as far as I know but I bought it used so not to sure on the history. When I attempt to burn out my car it begins to burnout. Than maybe after a brief burnout it hops from the back, looses its traction and goes forward. Any ideas?
And maybe some new rear shocks also.
How many miles on your new ride?
The vehicle has 90,000 miles. I think it is the shocks though I think the guy that had this car really just drove the crap out of it without taking care of it so I'm slowly but surely nursing it back to health.
It could be the rear suspension, or bushings or shocks. Inspect all the rear end suspension components before purchasing anything. When my car was bone stock with 35K miles it would wheel hop terribly. A set of tubular LCA's and panhard bar fixed the problem. At about 85K the car started wheel hopping again, found the rear shocks to be worn out, replaced them and solid once again.
