BIZARRE clutch problem T56

Here we go again, new clutch, freshly cut flywheel with shim installed, new pilot, about an inch or two from the floor the metal on metal grinding noise starts. I've read previous posts that this could be the shift fork hitting the pressure plate. The clutch appears to be working, but the noise. Could the fork be bent causing the problem? Can the fork be removed with the trans in place? Anyone ever pushed it though and back out the front where the bell housing cover goes?

The shift fork is cast iron, so I doubt it's bent. You'll have to pull the tranny to get the fork out.

Ok I might know what it is.
Does it do it only when cold?
It might be your pilot bearing
