Best clutch for lt1??
Best clutch for lt1??
i know i know...use the search. i didn't really come up with much at all.
Also, i cannot afford a street twin. I can't drop 1100 for a clutch. I've heard some horror stories about the spec stage 3. I'm wondering what clutch is good for me? i'm going to be making around 390rwhp and close to the same in torque. it will periodically have to hold a 150 shot as well. I do not want to go with a spec stage 3. how drivable is the spec stage 4?? i drive my car daily when weather permits. i need something that will last a while and not kill me in stoplight traffic.

Re: Best clutch for lt1??
I have a centerforce and I'm making 360 rwhp and have a 150 shot on it. Its held up fine so far. Seems most people here hate it for some reason, but I love mine. Super driveable, and grips good enough to break the rearend, lol. Curious, have you already killed a street twin? It says you have one in your sig. Also, one thing I have noticed, my disc is unsprung, which is odd, because most of the ones I have seen have springs in them. I got mine used, so not sure why...???
Re: Best clutch for lt1??
well, turns out the previous owner lied...its only a single disk mcleod. i burnt that up. i have'nt heard anything bad about centerforce other than it can cause hard shifts...??
