Axle question...

If I got like 12 inch wheels in the back of a Z28 and didn't want them to stick out, and I wanted them to 'stick in' how would I go about doing that?? Like move the wheels/tires closer to the diff. See what I'm saying? Thanks!

Biggest I've heard of anyone doing is 11" Wheels. Here's a couple of links.

In order to get your wheels and tires in closer to the center of the car your looking to either narrow the rearend housing or you could try getting a rim with a larger bag spacing. I have told that the largest rim you can get under a car without cutting the wheel well put will require some hammering to the inside of the wheel well will either be select rims such as Fikse has a 17x11 with a large back space that fits or drag wheel will be 15x10 with a 7.5 back space. Anything larger you will have to mini tube the stock tubs. I just redid my whole chassis from the firewall back and I run a 31x16.5x15 MT ET Street but I also changed alot of items to do this. My rims on the rear are a 15x12 Weld Aluma Star.

Good Luck
