AutoZone LT1 Flywheel...$59.99+Core

I just picked up a new Autozone flywheel for 59.99 and a $145 core charge. I thought it would just be a resurfaced OEM flywheel but it is a brand new flywheel that is made in mexico. I want to weigh it first to see how it compares to the stocker. I see that it has a few more balance holes drilled in it compared to stock. I just tought I would let you guys know as this is almost as cheap as having one resurfaced. I was gonna pay $50 for that locally. Brad

I got mine resurfaced locally for $15 and still within specs. You might want to shop around on getting your flywheel resurfaced. $50 is not a good price at all.

$50 is about average around here.

dmeographics....also how many machine shops are around etc will play a big part in that

if its brand new why would there be a core charge?

I was thinking that they maybe melt them down and make new ones. Because this is definatly like stock just because it says mexico on the bottom.
