Re: Auto VS Manual Trans

well I think I can answer your question the best, I had an auto in my car and swaped it to a 6 speed. and belive it or not it is more or less exactly the same at the track. all runs were on street tires I have little bit more traction isses with the manual but with the right amout of clutch slip I can take off pretty decent. all runs auto and manual where in th 2.2/ 2.3 60ftrange and from 8.8 to 8.9 at 82 to 83 MPH. there was no noticable increase in MPH or anything like that only in increase in daily driving FUN!!!. I am still on 3.23 gears but I have an M29 6 speed so those are factory gears for that tranny. its really up to you what you want. oh by the way I can still cut almost perfect lights with my manual so dont let anyone tell you that manuals are not consistant.
