Hey guys, been having problems with the transmission latley, a few weeks it raind alot and I drove through some pretty big puttles, a few days later it started acting weird it would drive normal then it jerk like going in to neutral and it would act normal. It only does it when it's not being used once it heats up it won't do it anymore. I changed the fluid and filter and added lucas in it but the trans smells like fish. Could this be that it has water??

 

I doubt water got inside the trans. It might be pure coinsidence that your trans is dying when it rained hard. My trans smelled funny, and jerked hard when it died.

 

But it only does it when I havent used the car like at night or if it's been sitting for a while. It will do it one day then it will work fine the next. As soon as it heats up it works perfect.

 

Sure it is a trans symptom. There have been many cases posted on here, myself included, where driving through a puddle resulted in misfires due to either the opti or some other part of the ignition system getting wet. How does the car operate in dry conditions?

 

The car is working perfect no misfires or nothing. As today it didn't do a thing. Took it to get it scaned nothing came up guy checked the tranny and said it looks good or at least the oil looks good he told me it could be the EPC solenoid or somthing like that.
