Auto to Manual Conversion

Are there any write ups on the conversion from auto to stick?

The car I'm looking at buying it too clean to pass up, even though its an auto.

And I'll be buying back my SS, so I'll have a doner car.
doesnt seem that hard to me, the tranny should bolt in everywhere shouldnt it? jsut have to cut a hole for the clutch peddal?

Also, whats an auto tanny with ~30k km on it worth? (it would be coming out)

You might not get much for the auto tranny, but you can try and sell it on the For Sale section.

Thanks, thats exactly what I was looking for.

Also, for the auto tranny, is the 94 any different then the other years?
And If I listed it for say $650 plus shipping would that be fair? (it does have less then 20k miles on it)

I'm not sure if the 94 is different or not, but i wouldn't think so.

You can always list it for that price and see if you get any offers. I know it's low miles, but i would be suprised if you got that out of it. It's worth a try though, you can always lower the price later.

I plan on trying to sell mine after i do my conversion also, let me know how yours turns out.
Good luck.

A couple of tips that would have saved me some grief.

Use 1 3/4 bolts to bolt the tranny to the bellhousing.

Use 1 inch bolts grade 8 to bolt the flywheel to the crank.

BTW, torque the tranny to bellhousing bolts to 26 lbs.

Don't ask how I know these things. Suffice it to say that if you don't follow this advice you'll be sorry.

thanks for the advise

and brian, dont have aim, but I'm sure I'll be in contact with you when I do it.

Would the tranny coming from an ODBII car and going into a ODBI car cause me any greif?

Does anyone know what a very low milage (~15000miles) auto is worth? would it be worth more if I bolted it back up the the enigne and sold it as a whole?

26 lbs is what my manual says. Sure wish I'd have read before I stripped 3 holes.
