auto downshifting questions..

On my 96 vert can swear first thing in morning or after car is cold the car will dowshift hard and tear off but after its warmed up sometimes it seems it just sits there and goes and dont' downshift and sometimes it again downshifts and takes off.

Any possible reasons for this.I dont' think its my imagination.I guess should check tranny fluid and possibly change it out.
And if its heat related mabye a tranny cooler would help it out.
Not sure if shift kit would be of any use or could try setting some things with my hpp haven't so far.

Its just that the car is of course slow when it don't downshift.I guess could manually downshift for those times when need it to do it for sure.

It's still downshifting properly, it's just your not making as much power when it gets hot so it feels slower. That's what i think it is.
