Anyone installed their own rear gears?

I'll be installing a posi and 4.10's in my 10-bolt in a few weeks. Does anyone have either a step-by-step guide or some kind of write-up on the internet? Any hints/pointers welcome. Also, what tools will I need?

If you are doing it yourself you will need access to a press so you can press on and pull bearings. It would also help to have a pinion depth measurement tool but it is not absolutely neccessary. I would suggest you pull all your bearing and reuse the shims as a starting point. Also if you use your crush sleeve before you check your tooth pattern and you have to change something you will need a new crush sleeve. I haven't yet had to tear into the 10 bolt in my camaro but the 8.5" 10 bolt in my truck had the shims for the carrier between the differential and the case so, if it's the same, which it should be, you wont have to pull those bearings to change backlash but if your pinion depth is off you will have to pull the rear pinion bearing. Oh yeah, make sure you check your tooth pattern. If that's right everything should be good to go. One more thing, be patient.
