I put in a Torsen SLP takeoff years ago to run 3 series Motives.
My 3.73's were quiet except when coming off the throttle at high speeds when I would get a howling noise .
The gears burned up because the rearend ran out of fluid and I replaced them with another set of new Motives which are also quit but make the off throttle howling coming off high speeds.
The pinion leak was fixed and is was all done by a professional mechanic with 20 yrs experience.
I'm wondering if it's the Torsen that's making noises or should I get real GM gears from the dealer.
If anyone running the Torsen carrier would chime in about their experiences I would greatly appreciate it.
