Red face Anybody know the name of this part?

The moving part in it seems to wobble a bit, letting pressure out (I think). This seems to be the cause of my constant band burnup in my 4L60E according to my tranny guy... well that, besides the cracked band drum I found

Anyways, anybody know the name of this part? I need to order it and my tranny guy is not available

Thanks

You get a cookie pete! That is the 1-2 accumulator. Was there a seal on that piston? The wobble on the pin is not a good thing. And you are right it needs to be replaced.

Thanks... I'm not really sure if there was a seal, but I bet the new ones comes with it... anybody know a good place to buy it? do I need to buy the whole thing or just the pin and piston (with o-ring)?

You will need to buy the piston only. Take a good look at the housing and make sure that it doesn't have any grooves in it from the worn accumulator. If it does than you will need to get the housing as well. I am not a sponsor here but you can call Frank at CPT. I'm sure that he will hook you up. Good luck to you, Vince.
