Any one who has shipped a complete rear end...

I am needing to ship my stock 10 bolt, and wondering who you guys have use to ship one, what class you shipped it as, and any other tips to make it cheaper to ship.

My Strange 12 bolt only cost me $75 to ship from Strange to me (about 180 miles). They shipped it as class "60", but when I have talked to shippers they say it should be class "85" which costs quite a bit more. I am needing to ship one from IL to FL and it is $356 (85) or $281 (60). Both seem high to me. Any ideas or companies that are known to be cheaper for these. I have checked with FedEx Freight, Yellow, and a local carrier, and the local place is the cheapest.

thanks for any help

My Moser 12-bolt was shipped from Indiana to Washington for $195. Moser was a frequent user of the frieght company and had a substancial discount. When I first inquired on a quote from the company they told me around $400... and that was with a 35% discount

try these guys, always had good prices and fast delivery: www.ForwardAir.com good people.

Just My experience, rear axle shipped from Florida to Ohio was $95 by common freight carrier. If the rear axle is on a pallet and delivered to the freight and picked up at the terminal it should be cheaper. Try a company like Conway for a quote, no way its the cost you quoted.
