Another clutch form problem

Car: '95 Z28 with six speed

Ok, finally got back to the car after work and Montezuma's Revenge. Took the slave cylinder off and looked into the bellhousing...after trying to get the fork on good several times. I even got an inspection mirror.

What is happening is I am not getting the clutch fork on the TO bearing. It is going between the end of the bearing and the transmission case. So it is surrounding the shaft but not on the TO.

I looked inside and everything looks ok to me. The clutch fork slides in and out and the spring is doing it's job but the fork isn't getting inside the lip of the throwout bearing so it isn't pulling on it to disengage. It's just flopping around inside. I've tried prying the slave cylinder end of the fork out so the finger end will move in toward the PP but it's not making a difference.

Any ideas? Here's a couple of pictures. If those don't show click on the link for the web album.
