Lou's short stick is angled a bit. It's also the most expensive.

some are too short for people's taste.

i have the lou's stick and love it's length. although i'm tall and have no problem reaching over to get 5th and R. that is the common complaint i've heard, shorter people having to lean over to geet those gears.

i have some comparison shots of how short it is compared to stock on page 9 of my webpage. i machined a stick that is a little longer than the lou's but still much shorter than stock.

Another vote for Jarrod's. His e-mail is jarrodholland@hotmail.com

Check out this thread: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=215693

At the bottom there's a couple of more links. One of them has pictures comparing Jarrod's, Lou's, and the stock Hurst.

I'm running a short stick from Spectacle Solutions and I love it. But, I don't think Brian is doing much fabrication these days unless it's for someone he knows.

One of the things you may notice is the increased noise and the notchy feel after you go to a short stick that removes the rubber isolator.

I put about 10 coats of black Plasti-Dip on the bottom of my shift stick and it made it very quiet again. But I still get chatter from the stick in 3rd gear. ???

I just got the Jared short stick and put it in the other day. I took it to a local machine shop and had a bend put in it to keep it from hitting the back side of the console hole, but other than that it is WELL worth the $25!

"just cut the stick you have on there"

a shorter stick is only 1/4 of the reason i wanted the short stick

the main reason is that the stock stick has a rubber vibration dampening bushing on the base. this thing is a joke.

i pulled the stick and clamped it in a vise, i was able to move the stick around just because of the bushing.

the short sticks eliminate that...and give a VERY solid feel to the shifter
