Adjustable Master/Slave Cylinder for LT1 questions.

If I cannot modify my slave cylinder to make it adjustable.(Has any one here modified theirs?) I would need to order a new one, and where is the best place to buy it from.

I have seen both 139001 and 139000 as part#'s related to this but I am not sure which is the correct one for my LT1's T56.

I am currently running Mcleod's Single Performace disk with an SLP Pressure Plate and it does not fully disengage the disk. It make the shifts much more harder and it is almost impossible to get it into reverse unless I am rolling foward then try to slip it into reverse, even then it can still be a hard shift.

Would an adjustable Master/Slave Cylinder alleviate these problems?

Any and all info, advice welcome.

WOW someone with almost the same setup and the exact problem I having!!

I have a new spec billet steel flywheel. mcleod single disc clutch and the autozone pressure plate (an lt4 pressure plate).

Same problem. THe clutch starts to engage near the floor. IT doesnt disengage it enough for me to shift easily into gear. I can get it in any gear. REverse is the hardest.

On a post in the drivetrain section someone said mcleod had some clutches that were bent. He sent his back. I dont know if they sent him another one and things were ok or not. I hope he sees this and responds. SEems like if it were bent you would feel it pulsate as it would hit the high side part of the time.

I forgot his user name but maybe he will let us know. If that fixes it I will call them and see if it fixes this.

I dont think we should need and adj master cyl. We didnt change our set up that greatly from stock. Lots of others have done similar setups and not had this problem.

Re: Adjustable Master/Slave Cylinder for LT1 questions.

I had a similar (but somewhat opposite) problem when I installed a Spec 4 disc with my SLP PP & stock flywheel. I had too much release from the clutch/pp. My clutch was releasing with only about 1-2 " of pedal travel, or releasing right at the top of the pedal. When the pedal hit the floor the clutch was releasing so far that the clutch release fork (that mounts to the throw out bearing) was contacting and grinding on the PP. I used this method to just decrease the amount of travel in the pedal: http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/show...ghlight=master

It worked great for me, it may help in your case to try and get more pedal travel if your pedal is now sitting lower now. See my post below for more details.
