a4 to m6=car wont start
a4 to m6=car wont start
just finishing up my a4 to m6 swap in my 95 z and the car wont even crank. When i try to start it the airbag light comes on and flashes. I realize that when i removed the steering column i dont think it was locked, so could i have damaged something to do with the airbag in the column that would cause it not to start or is it something else? any help is appreciated
Re: a4 to m6=car wont start
explain what is doing or not doing does it even crank or do you turn the key and nothing happens? the airbag light always flashes when you try to start the car it may have nothing to do with it...
Did you install the clutch switch, is that working properly?
Did you remove the Park/Neutral switch?

ok I will turn the key to the on position and the dash lights will come on and the airbag light will flash the normal amount of times. Then when the airbag light quits flashing I try to start the car and nothing happens, no cranking or anything. The clutch switch has not been hooked up, but I didn't think it had to be to start the car (correct me if im wrong). Yes I did remove the neutral/park switch. thanks for your input.
Re: a4 to m6=car wont start
if you removed the park/neutral switch then the circut to the starter is open if you didn't put anything in there to make the connection, ie clutch switch..
understand?
yes if you remove the park/neutral switch and hard wire the connection then you wouldn't need the clutch switch.. If you just removed the switch and taped the wires off or something that is why it doesn't start.
