Installed 97 trans into 94 z28. Plug in on trans has 1 extra pin at top of connector. Old one ony had 1 pin. Does any body have any information on what this does? Or does it have any effect at all? Thanks for all the information and time.

thanks

Brad

Re: 97 4l60e

Look at the 4L60E tab at the bottom of this link.. It is probably "U" for the PWM control that is not present on a 1994 car. You might need to check into the possibility of needing to change the TCC solenoid in the 1997 transmission to work with the 1994 lockup signals (unless it is already working fine ).

Re: 97 4l60e

I plan on putting a 96 Transmission in my 94. I was wondering if your transmission worked OK or if you had to change a solenoid or anything? Please let me know before I put this trans in...... THANKS

Re: 97 4l60e

We have now encountered a new problem. Shifts great from 1st to 2nd ant wide open throttle but will not shift to drive. If you are going down highway at normal speeds will shift normally. Any advice?

thanks

Re: 97 4l60e

what would i need to change to retrofit a 95 4l60e into a 94. the 95 has PWM and my 94 doensnt. would this be the reason i am getting 100% TCC duty cycle in drive but stopped, and 10% TCC duty cycle at speeds of 5mph-150mph?
