I have a 69 camaro with a 95 lt1 setup in it, harness ect. Will a 4l60e out of a 96LT1 work with the 95 Harness, or do I need to change anything? Also will I still be able to use a 700r4 Converter?

 

You can do this, You will need to install the 95 internal trans harness and the additional PWM solenoid to fool the PCM and the 3-2 solenoid but it should be fine after that

they told me to get the 95 harness to work in a 96 you have to change the valve body as well..

 

Well I am blind apparently I saw 94 in a 95 now a 96 in a 95 can be done as well , You would need to swap the harness and the two round solenoids at the front from the 95 to the 96. Now heres the deal there is a slight different in the 3-2 strategy on the 96 verses the 95 some people have issues with odd or clunky 3-2 down shift when the valve body if not swapped. Personally having done it on my own car i did not see it as a big issue and drove it two years like that with no problems.
Once you open pan changing the wiring harness and the two solenoids is self explanatory.
