Hello all, trying to get a feel for what i have on my hands. whenever i go full throttle from or stop or in first gear, my trans wont shift out until i let off a lil, it`l actually redline. had tha problem for awhile but since i dont drive hard often wasnt really a big problem, but now i notice that it seems under regular throttle i`m staying in 2nd and third longer than usual. andy suggestions? by the way it`s a 95 z28 auto

 

I have the same problem with 2nd gear under WOT.....very strange....let me know if you find the answer

 

maybe the torque converter isnt locking up anymore.

 

With a lot of miles on them, the capacity starts to go down, and WOT upshifts get very hard to mke, if at all. A good fix, is a "modified" Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, & Corvette servo. This will improve capacity of the unit so that it will be possible to make the WOT shifts, this is assuming that the band & clutches are still in good shape.
