95 and 96 4L60E's

I have a 95 Z28 and my transmission went out for a second time someone in my local car club with a 96 is parting his car out and offered me the transmission for a good price. Are there electrical differences that would prevent me from being able to use it? Or can I swap the harness in it with mine if nescessary?

I've been told that the 95's need a 95 transmission due to the PWM in the 95's. You might want to do a search on this and also the 95's are OBD1 and the 96 is OBD2. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. You should PM performabuilt or call them up.

You can use it both the 95 and 86 are PWM the actual difference is in the 3-2 control strategy however while this can cause a change in downshift feel I have not noticed in doing this myself a few times in the past on Junkyard swaps any notable issue with this
You will need to change the 3-2 and PWM solenoids along with swapping the wiring harness but it should work fine after than.
