93 T56 clutch slave cylinder adapter fitting help?

Hi guys,

I need to swap out the old stock hydraulic fitting on my slave cylinder and put on an adapter fitting. Summit stocks them in both AN-3 and AN-4. I called up Russell Engineering (the manufacturers), and the guy said that either AN-3 or AN-4 will work for my application (just a stage 1 clutch, no performance mods).

I'm doing this because it is for a swap project I've been working on. Plus, i'm ditching the slave w/o the bleeder in place of a 92 camaro slave w/ a bleeder (same part, just has a bleeder on it...nice!)

I was wondering if anyone out there has done a similar thing, and should I go with the AN-3 or the AN-4. I don't know what adding an additional 1/16 OD to the line would do, but I just wanna make sure it'll be okay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The two summit part numbers are:

RUS-641001 (AN4)
RUS-640281 (AN3)

Tyler,
There's a link on my forum at H-Body.org regarding this issue. It's an odd-sized fitting. Here's the link: http://forums.h-body.org/viewtopic.p...it=t56#p171076

To keep it simple, two members have accomplished what you're trying to do. Tim McCabe just put a T56 in his '72 Vega and this was his reply to my question about clutch hydraulics. He is using an S10 slave and master with custom lines.

The S10 uses a metric 12x1.5 thread from what I remember. No one makes a direct adaptor, so I had to go through 2 steps to get to the AN3.

The master and slave came out of a mid 80's S10, I don't remember the exact year.
It took a number of trys to get the master mounted just right, the rod is not a perfect straight push into the bore at the start of the stroke, but it is centered by the end of the pedal travel. I drilled the main hole for the bore, then rotated the housing until I had everything lined up, then drilled the 2 mounting bolt holes.

The slave was just mounted using an adaptor plate. Just hog out a bit of the extension housing to make room for the mounting bolts. I used the T56 activation rod for the slave, the thickness of the adaptor plate did not seem to be an issue.
