I don't have u, bolts but billet caps....I never tq them just tighten evenly.

I have seen alot of those ubolts fail, I would invest in the caps if you can, they come with a good bolt

Wow those are pricey, but look strong.
But I would still like to know what to torque my current u-bolts to for the time being.

I've got mine "snug and even". I'm sure there is probably a specific torque somewhere but this is how I've been running mine. FWIW

the mian thing is to tighten them evenly.....I even looked around for a spec on tq and found nothing

Well I pulled out my old Chilton Truck and Van and it says 8-15ftlbs for the u-bolts.
