6 Speed Manual Spewing Fluid at WOT/High RPM

I've got a strange problem with my trans fluid belching from the top vent port every time I make high RPM runs.. I dont have it figured out other than any WOT/High RPM run it spews fluid all over the right side exhaust and sometimes is still dripping by the time I get home... mile or two from the spew.

I have a hose connected to the upper vent and it comes down the right side and is basically open (has a closed hose end on it but no real plug)

Am I missing something here? It's not overfilled since this has been happening now for about a year, by now it's possibly a little low.

Thanks for any comments.. Im confused.

I had this problem in my a4 before. Don't know if it's similar, but most told me it was the pump. Which eventually got worse and worse.

I ended up having to buy a new tranny.

The vent tube has a bracket attached to it, which it supposed to be under one of the upper bellhousing bolts. That keeps the tube from hanging down. There should also be a small white nylon plug in the end of the vent tube. The nylon plug has a small hole in it.

Have you checked the fluid level in your tranny? Still sounds like it may be overfilled.

your right, i always thought it didnt matter where the hose ended up but apparently gravity is pulling any fluid that enters it out and all over my exhaust.. plus the hose is real long so it must be filling up with splash then spewing since it cant drain back.. so pointing up is where it goes.. i might even put the restrictor back on it.

as simple as that seems I was totally confused. You the man!
