4L65e Tranny mated to a ODB1 LT1

Hey everyone, I recently smoked my 4L60e auto in my 94 z28. Its a 383 with a hotcam, ported heads, all the bolt ons and majority of suspension with a 12 bolt.

I just killed the tranny yesterday and I am thinking about a 6 speed swap, or rebuild the 4L60e, OR it was suggested by my performance shop guy about the 4L65e tranny. Which is the same dimension as a 4L60e, it has one more planetary gear and a few other things. Its supposed to be way stronger, he had one in a customer car that had a blower and n2o, held like a champ.

Now I am very interested becuase I want to keep it an auto, but not smoking trannies every 24,000 miles....

This is a newer tranny and should work off of a ODBII pcm, my question is can I get it tuned to work on a ODB1 PCM?? This is my ONLY worry, if I can do this I will buy it. Also is there any stall wall issues with this tranny (ODB2 shouldnt have it, but if someone else mated it to a LT1 car with odb1, does it have the same issues).

If ANYONE can help, please post, thankyou!
