4L60E trans from other years/models

Im looking for an auto tranny for my manual car. The 4L60Es came in a lot of different models. Are there any other models that are the same as the f-body tranny.

The trucks may be different, but what about the caprice or impala?

the tail shaft housing is the main difference, with the torque arm mount. the 97 speed sensor is a different size from like a 94

luckily the housings are interchangeable
there are internal differences, pwm other stuff I'm not familiar with

Cpt Frank told me the trans didn't care if it was in a truck or a car

if your doing a swap, you need a pcm from a 97 auto and compatible transmission.

a lot more than I can tell you. hope this helps
