Who rebuilt the trans?
If they are a decent company they should do something for you.
The builder is the most crucial part of getting the 4L60E to last behind a hopped up engine (or a stock one for that matter) I researched quite a bit to find a reputable builder and so far it has made all the difference, I am very happy with my rebuild.

revtime,

So who did you go with? Or did you find a local shop?

I had a local shop called A&A hot rod transmissions rebuild mine.
I checked with people who had used their trannies and everyone was happy with the work and the reliability.
I pulled the tranny and took it up to them they built it up with a shift kit for 750 and then I took it home and installed it.
Working great so far.
Just check around your hometown (if you live in a decent sized town) and you should find a good builder, check with some of his customers and see if they are happy with his product..
I talked to guys with A&As trannies living behind Big Blocks so I was comfortable with them building mine.

It was a local shop. They clam to be a high performance transmission shop. I Think I'm getting a pro built trans.
Sometimes you get what you pay for.
